Granny Snows A Sneak (Fuchsia, Minnesota Book 3), by Julie Seedorf

Granny may be retired as Fuchsia, Minnesota’s one-woman undercover sleuth for the Fuchsia Police Department, but that doesn’t mean she still doesn’t need a trusty weapon. Her weapon of choice? A pink snow shovel. When Granny runs over a dead body with her snowmobile, she unwittingly sets off a chain of events that involves mislabeled corpses, empty graves, and stolen money—lots of it! Who’s at the bottom of this years-old crime? Granny has an idea, but she has little time to investigate, when in just days she’s scheduled to marry the love of her life, Franklin Gatsby, in a post-Christmas ceremony. So, Granny decides to enlist the help of her friends and neighbors. Add in Christmas Holiday excitement and the arrival of Granny’s family, who are all there for her wedding, and mayhem ensues. Of course, Granny can always count on her many furry friends to provide her with moral support, but it’s quite possible that Granny—that is, Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt—has a secret or two of her own, which may very well be revealed as Granny Snows A Sneak.

Dead Bodies. Dead bodies in other people's clothes. Dead bodies where they don't belong. And two weddings coming up. Granny did not need this! Ms. Seedorf has hit it out of the park with Granny Snows A Sneak! I've called this series before Lemony Snicket for adults and it still is. But this time we see another side of Granny. We see her in her family life instead of her "professional life" as a snoop for the big guy.  Well her family life is just as crazy.  And with a wedding to Franklin just days away, a new man enters her life. Of course they hate each other.... that's a fine line... Anyway, prepare yourself for an all-nighter because once the action starts, you won't be putting down GRANNY SNOWS A SNEAK until you are done.

From the Author
This was a fun book to write. Imagine an older woman with two suitors and a pension for finding trouble and almost getting herself killed. This character and all the characters have become dear to my heart. By now I feel they are family. Each book reveals more about the town, the relationships and the closeness they all share. They have each other's backs when they are threatened.

I found myself actually tearing up on a couple of page as I was writing, because I know who Granny is inside. Each book I know her more and even though I am the writer it surprises me how this character feels in her heart and the depths that are there underneath the crustiness if you read between the lines. That may seem strange considering she is a character in a book, but all writers invest part of themselves in their book and I must say, Granny is the best part of myself.

GRANNY STRIKES AGAIN

Now Julie Seedorf has become a guarantee of laughter and fun: the plot is intriguing and original
By Veronica Marzini
The hilarious Granny and her strange and eccentric friends, some humans other animals, are back: I could not wait. Now Julie Seedorf has become a guarantee of laughter and fun: the plot is intriguing and original, the characters are hilarious and Granny can not stay away from trouble and comic and embarrassing situations.
In this book Granny meets many adversities: snow, a new neighbor, two marriages and a strange movements of corpses.
Thor, her son, moves to Fuchsia, near her home and becomes the head of the local police. He prohibits Granny to continue working undercover for the town's merchants. Also because her latest survey has made her very popular, it would be difficult to investigate secretly. Plus her fake relationship with Franklin has become real and serious and they'll get married in a few weeks, the day after Christmas. It will be a double wedding because with them will marry Thor with Heather, the daughter of Franklin.
After a snowfall that could block her at home, she decides to buy a snowmobile and in her first trip the new neighbor accompanies her (even if he had not been offered a ride). When they land ruinously in front of her house , she realizes that have invested a man but luckily he was already dead. It 's a corpse from the cemetery that is moved in front of her house. The corpse seems to be the father of her children. Those who have will put? And for what reason? Granny obviously can not let that only her son and Franklin investigate, can not stand doing nothing ......
This town in Minnesota is enriched ever more bizarre and exhilarathing characters as Silas, Granny's new neighbor: according to Granny he is disreputable, crotchety, disagreeable skunk. Adorable is Angel, Heather's daughter and future Granny's grandson: she is the only one capable of making the old lady tender and sweet. Granny is always more fun, shrewish but maybe in love.
It's the third book in the series "Fuchsia Minnesota Series", but can be read very well without the first two books: the author is very good at providing the essential elements for understanding the relationships between the characters and events that occurred in previous episodes without boring those who already know them.
I hope to return soon to Fuchsia in Minnesota.

What a Hoot!
By Rhonda
4 STARS

This is a hoot. Granny is at it again. This cozy mystery if full of twists, surprises, animals and weddings. I needed a laugh today. This is a clean read.

Granny is the main character. She is going to get married the day after Christmas to Franklin Gatsby.

She keeps secrets from everyone. She lies and goes her own way. She has dogs, cats & a goat. They roam between her house and Franklin's house.

There are lots of new characters in this third book. One is her new neighbor Silas. He is retired and has secrets of his own. Granny does not pull the wool over his eyes much. She is fighting with him and he with her.

A snow storm as snuck and Silas barges into Granny's basement to the secret door that is no longer secret to the underground street. It is open now with shops having doors open to it too. So Granny decides to go to town to. She comes back on a snowmobile with Silas on the back with her. and crashes in her yard and they find a dead body.

Franklin wants Granny to mind her own business and let her son the detective figure out what is going on.

I liked the story but did not like the ending. What did Granny see? I did not guess who the bad guys were and why they were doing all that they were doing?

I would like to visit Fuchsia, Minnesota in the summer time. It is a fun town with lots of crooks and crime and feisty seniors.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review and be part of Granny Snows A Sneak Blog Tour.
