I bought this for my 5 year old son who hates to write or draw ,I think he is insecure about doing it wrong, he would trace letter but would not ever attempt to write them on his own and when he did it was lines and circles not even closely resembling the actual letter.... we have been using this book the last couple weeks and he is actually learning correct letter formation and enjoys it ! I highly recommend this book and we will be using the next kindergarten book when he is through with this one. Also if you have a child struggling to form his/her letter I recommend the kumon beginners mazes it has helped boost my sons confidence and has helped with smoother writing.
