Dennis has written the book for those who already mediate but need a foundation (scripture) and a focus (Christ), as well as those who have kept their distance from meditation and need some answers and encouragement. Dennis communicates with the biblical teachings of a pastor, the insights of a prayer leader, and the personal experience of a disciple who follows after Jesus.

A Healthy Presentation of Biblical Meditation

Thank you Dennis for taking on a challenging subject. Many Christians shy away from mediation due to the association with Eastern religions and/or cults. Dennis brings out both the Biblical roots of mediation and the Biblical practice of meditation. In doing so he reclaims an essential Christian spiritual discipline that has been employed by followers of Christ over the generations. An essential spiritual discipline that draws us nearer to the heart of God. I highly recommend this book.

Refreshing Truths from a Pastors' Pastor

Dennis Fuqua's passion for individual and corporate prayer pours through the pages. I love how Dennis shows us how to build a relationship with God by tuning into His Word. I enjoyed the topics (such as forgiveness and God's nature) and individual meditations throughout the book. His insights remind me to think slowly and deeply in my devotional times, with the intent of finding what God desires for me to mature. He invites us to slow down and look for God's truths and quietly process them in our hearts. I find Dennis' voice, selected Bible passages, and encouragement soothing to my soul.
