~~Love/Gratitude with Family/Friends~~

In a few pages, this author has absolutely described the true message of Thanksgiving. When family and friends gather for the feast, one must accept things as they occur whatever the outcome! And, if that means the turkey is not on the table at the exact moment, it is okay. Love and gratitude are on that plate in the center of the table, too.
In actuality, it reminded me of Thanksgiving in Spain and the turkey I bought for some Spanish friends. The "pavo" had to be cut into pieces and cooked in that manner. Did it taste the same? No, it did not but the camaraderie of having my friends in Spain share my Thanksgiving will never be forgotten. We still reminisce about that day in 1978! So, memories are also part of the tradition in my family.
Well done to this author and will check out other books that she has written.

Really good read:)

Wow, after reading the author's BIO I was really impressed! I am also really into languages myself (speak 5) but what this lady is capable of really blows my mind! Now, about the book- very well written and imaginative. It certainly does reflect the international and open-minded spirit of the author. It actually made me miss some of my family and friends, the message that I got from this book is that the most important thing is the essence, not the cover. It's how you feel inside and who you surround yourself with- not how or where you celebrate. Interesting read for me, I am from Europe and we don't celebrate the Thanksgiving here, but I am a big fan of gratitude rituals and this is how I interpret this American celebration.
