About the Author
As the youngest of four children, Brenda has probably heard—and, according to her, fulfilled—every "spoiled youngest child" joke out there! She is an avid fan of Notre Dame football, and though she finds all flowers inspirationally beautiful, yellow roses and every color of hydrangea are her flowers of choice. Another element that adds beauty to her days is music. Even though she no longer uses her degree in music education vocationally, she plays piano, flute, and mountain dulcimer, and she loves to sing! Brenda loves to express herself through her writing and to help others do so as well. She coauthored a women’s Bible study (with her mother, Lorraine), But God, and has completed writing and editing assignments for communications firms, businesses, websites, churches, schools, and colleges. In addition to the proofreading, editing, and publishing preparation (PEP) she does through her freelance business, PEP Writing Services, Brenda is also an outsourced editor for a large POD (print on demand) company and proofreads for a communications firm that specializes in creating materials for the auto industry. Brenda also maintains her faith-based blog, Petals from the Basket (found at PetalsfromtheBasket.com), and a blog and resource site for encouraging and equipping writers: BrendaStrohbehn.com. She currently lives in Indiana, working from home and assisting her aging parents with their care.

Brenda Strohbehn's book, Petals from the Basket: Devotional Thoughts for Women, was just like sitting down with the author over a cup of tea, and having a meaningful discussion of how God has moved and worked in her life. It is very conversational. Easy read. I didn't want to put it down. She writes with a personal touch, where you feel like she is one of your closest friends.

The author's personal observations, thoughts, and Spiritual awareness are so unique and complete they provide this book with amazing depth and insight into how Spirit-filled lives can and should be lived.
