I liked this book, but it is hard to get around the sloppy work done in copying it. I had a difficult time reading the text. I was very interested in the subject, but may have to buy another edition to get a complete understanding of the text. The picture reproduction was correspondingly poor as well.

A Departure from Davidson's Usual Repertoire

KRYSTAL is a departure from Mr. Davidson's usual repertoire of espionage thrillers but quite likely his best work to date. The author takes the sympathetic character of Krystal Murphy, whom we met briefly in his previous novels, and makes her the central character in an exciting murder mystery that maintains the urbane and cosmopolitan feel of Harry's Rules and Incubus. Mr. Davidson's familiarity with the locales he describes comes through loud and clear as it does in all his novels, something that makes us feel a part of the plot. I thought the author's development of the Krystal Murphy character was particularly skillful and made the story that much more compelling. Mr. Davidson tells much of the story from a woman's point of view, a daunting task, I am sure, but one he pulls off in convincing fashion. This is a well-paced, fast-moving story with enough twists and turns to keep the reader on the edge of his/her chair. KRYSTAL is undeniably a good read and a novel I recommend wholeheartedly.

I just finished "Krystal" night before last, and I hold Mr. Davidson personally responsible for depriving me of a good night's sleep! I got sucked into this detective thriller, a notable departure from Mr. Davidson's primary genre (espionage), and couldn't put it down until reaching the last page at 3 AM! He most effectively developed the character of the heroine (Krystal), previously introduced in two of his espionage thrillers, and wove an intricate murder mystery plot for her to try to solve. In contrast to his previous books, which featured stunningly detailed descriptions of overseas locales, "Krystal" is strictly a domestic affair. That said, his description of Miami and its environs, particularly Calle Ocho, have whetted my appetite to pay a visit! In short, Mr. Davidson's venture into crime fiction was highly successful, and I hope he returns to it in the future.

Impressive Debut

A fascinating debut the the legal thriller genre. Eminent Crimes showcases the attorney author's expertise in a riveting and exciting story of small-town skulduggery that pits the family on an ancestral farm and his feisty attorney against unscrupulous and corrupt politicians. A page-turner.

Lots of action is packed into fewer than 300 pages. The author captures superbly politics and life in general in rural Massachusetts. The characters are memorable and very real; to me, even the unsavory ones had redeeming qualities. A great, fast-paced read.

I loved this book. It's a fast paced, page turner that can't be put down!
I now understand what all the fuss is about with Trump & his use of eminent domain!
Eminent Domain has certainly changed since I was in school!
Adelene Ellenberg has made the term and concept incredibly clear!

Her characters are fabulous.
The book certainly came to life.

I hope I don't have to wait too long for a new book by Ms Ellenberg!

Fascinating peak at another way to live.

This is a neat, somewhat informative book. It has anecdotal stories of surviving either by squatting off in a small patch of woods or living in a car. And many other kinds of stories. And it's not exactly a guide to homeless living but much more of an "off the grid living" It's a window into another way to live in society... on the fringes with much less money. It might be a little boring to some folks... Not exactly a book you read from cover to cover. But something to pick and read for a few minutes.... Great for the Bathroom.

Another fascinating book by Frank DeMarco

The title of this book might make you think that you have to have some sort of health issue to benefit from it. No. It's full of great, practical advice for taking care of yourself mind, body, and soul, and includes a few really wonderful visualizations that you'll want to do every day. This is a short book, something you'll read in just a day or two. Well worth your time! Thanks to Frank DeMarco for continuing his exploration of human consciousness and spirit. Every one of his books offers some fascinating reading!

EXACTLY what the wisest doctors order

I can't begin to tell people how grateful I am for Frank DeMarco's work on this book. Simple explanations, to the point, just enough background for someone at my stage of learning self-awareness. (Rita was right. No need to apologize on the later personal stories. Biographies are my favorite dramas because they contain recognizable-relatable truth. They give me hope for my own problems/opportunities and additional evidence we're all in this together.) Wish I had read this one all the way through weeks ago...but...was focused on other topics. Got bogged down in Rita's World (though I enjoy exploration there, as well), decided to come back to a more familiar Earth by picking up the wellness book again. Had trouble finding a stopping point this time. Everything was ringing clear and true. Hope I can remember to put these techniques and good common sense to work. TRUST has been my biggest hurdle. Choosing to believe, in order to understand is the first step. And reminding myself I really have NOTHING to lose (fear). In the larger picture, everything works to the ultimate good of the soul. Now...gotta take this hanging on feeling of asthma, itchy lungs, and learn from it. (Clear the air literally and figuratively, give the mind/body/soul mechanism the love it needs, among other basics. One of which is pulling me away from this gadget...sleep!)

Wonderful little book for those who are ready to use nonphysical approaches to health

Balanced and mature in tone, not preachy or pollyanna. Very specific as to technique. I also recommend DeMarco's other books including The Cosmic Internet and The Sphere and the Hologram.

This isn't a book you read in one sitting. It's a book you keep coming back to and read a few more stories and marvel at the closeness you begin to feel for one of the greatest of Americans. It's history. It's humor. It's insights into the mind of a great man. It's like having Abe Lincoln sitting in your living room spinning yarns.
